Alll the discussion about the new Resonance dial has caused me to take a moment to simply admire what I consider one of the most beautiful movements in the world. Whether in brass, ruthenium or gold the Resonance movement is visually stunning!

I've been staring at a photo of the new Resonance dial all day. I really like the 24/60 concentric dials and telling time without hands. I keep wondering how it would have looked if both subdials were replaced with the new 24/60 configuration keeping the perfect symmetry.
Now I'm sure FPJ thought of that and yet there was a reason he decided to break the symmetry. What does he see that we don't? After 10 years we have all become so accustomed to the Resonance design. Now imagine for a moment you came home and found someone rearranged all the furniture in your house. How would you feel? Something would be wrong. It's that same feeling I have when I look at the new Resonance. 10 years vs a few days. It may take some time before I get used to the new design.
