Pure collection piece, for me....

it's the ONLY "Florentine" model with a white dial (meaning a Pre-V). There are some 100+ pieces around. In a different world, that would be a nice catch, for a collector. I didn't even have to like it (which I'm still not sure I do)

They did a great job with that one

Moving non essential information to the back was quite smart and avoid overcrowding the dial. I also like the fact that they used sizeable fonts for the day & date. Add 100m of WR, a micro-rotor to keep thickness in check and to allow the movement to

A whiter shade of pam

I know, it's a cheap title but it felt appropriate as I was able to check two specific models side by side, the 1385 (small second) and 1350 (two hander): Note the difference in sapphire shape. The 1385 and its flat sapphire is reminiscent of the 232/183/

Thanks for sharing your impressions

The Radiomir case is very elegant, almost sensual and you wear it well, even in 47mm it wears smaller than one may think. It is interesting that the 2-section hour hand caught your attention, it seems to be used fairly consistently definitely with Cali di

I’m not a professional diver either… but

buying a Panerai with only 30 m water resistance feels like buying a Ferrari with a 100 hp engine – even if the speed limit is 130 km/h, it just doesn’t feel right. 😉 As for straps: I have learned that leather and salt water don’t mix well. They’ll get st

Immidiately?

Not quite. The first batch consisting of 100 pieces featured exclusively the non-matching dial, except for two pieces which were later updated with matching dials. On the 202, the dial issue was only solved with the 2d batch from late 1994 (50 pieces) whi

Thanks for your input. I have indeed seen a couple used 504 with what looks like cracks in the black coating. On photos it's hard to say if this is dirt or cracks but sounds like these might be cracks. Have noticed that 232s have started to dry up. For a
