Poor Man’s 16753

Years ago I had a beautiful vintage 18k GMT from the early 1970’s. Dummy that I am, I sold it and do think of it often. Last week I was at a Tudor boutique and saw the Black Bay Bronze. It so much reminded me of the 16753 that I just had to pull the trigg

I am starting to build a small collection of the Rolex GMT root beer with the addition of ref 16753. The Rolex 16753 is a steel and gold GMT with the special brown / cream bezel and the special nipple dial in brown. This watch was produced from 1979-88 an

Overview of the Root Beer models

The warm color scheme of these Rolex GMT models has always felt attractive to me (especially the three first variants, with a brownish dial). Have a nice week! Best, Emmanuel 1/ Ref. 1675/3 (1970): 40 mm case, steel & yellow gold, brown matte dial, applie

A very special Rolex GMT MASTER 16753.

When I thought I saw almost everything, when it comes to GMT MASTER dials... I was wrong. Some years ago, I was almost on to buy this 16753 U.A.E with its terrific dial and make an exception to my " two-tone watch? not for me " rule: Credit picture: Jatuk

This is probably the second two tone watch I like.

The first I fell in love with was this one I couldn't get, sadly... Credit picture: Roberto. Rolex GMT MASTER 16753 for the U.A.E. And yours certainly is a very nice looking one, at the point it is tempting me. Best, Nicolas

ROOT BEER is matching perfect with steel/gold case, even more with Nippel dial and plexi. Also interesting, the movement 3075 was only eigth years in production..

The rigth ref. number is 16753, It is the " transitione " with the first quick-set-date.

Good evening Thomas!

I am a fan from the old ROOT BEER, i had a 16753 and now i have a 16758 and i think the dial also looks good in brown. I think it is not a summer color, So we come to the colors, the 16622 is a wonderfull sommer watch, the steel is so brigth in the sun, t
