The original Submariner was even smaller: The 6200/ 6204/ 6536-38 and so on were 37 mm. The 5512-13 was 40 mm.

You are right, the inflation was not only about prices, but also about size. Nonetheless, I am a huge fan of the James Cameron Deep Sea. I want one! Best, Nicolas

Vintage Rolex Box reference guide list 1950 to mid 2000's

Here is a Rolex Vintage mostly sports models Box reference list. Compiled from various sources so errors can sometimes be replicated. The early 1950-1960 boxes mostly did not have reference numbers and seemed to often be interchangeable among models. Use

Thought it was even bigger....

It is so reminescent of those crowns on the Rolex 6200, 6538, and 5510! It would be also great on the 58! Thank you again.

This year Tudor surprises us with a Black Bay GMT " Opaline " AND with a watch which is courageous, the Black Bay 54 with a... 37 mm case, defying all those who think that 37 mm is too small, and trying to demonstrate the contrary. Well, for those who thi

Tudor Big Crown 7924

Before the 7928, came the 7924. Not a 6200, but ei! What a cool one. The 8mm Rolex Brevet crown and the red triangle in the insert are pure magnetism. The gilt fonts and chapter ring give so much presence to the dial. Not to mention the thick case and ple

Rolex Submariner 6200. A Dream of a watch.

Even if, here, the hands are more than questionable, this dial is to die for. Credit picture; Phillips. It is good to have some dreams. Best, Nicolas

I share your feelings

Not as spectacular as this 6200, but full of charm: my 6536/1. It‘s one of these watches that always seem right, no matter when
