I can certainly understand the joy and congratulations!!!! In some watches the choice of metal for the case can make an enormous difference aesthetically.

For me 5167 is one of the watches. As nice as the A is and as much as I think steel is the perfect metal for a sports/sporty watch, the R is much more appealing to me. It is truly beautiful and as much as I love Aquanaut and Nautilus, I rarely feel that d

I can only say WOW and huge congrats!

The Aquanaut is definitely an addictive model. I'm also looking forward to adding my third one, which is actually the 5167R too ☺️ Wearing my 5065A today (old picture):

ArmisT, your advice is spot on for me right now. I've always avoided the 5168 because of its size and weight, but the 5968A completely changed my mind.

① Steel ② The chronograph hand can be used as a running seconds hand ③ The orange color (especially when paired with the strap) looks wonderfully casual ④ It's thicker than the 5168, but actually more comfortable to wear Therefore, now that I'm certain I'

This is wonderful news! Huge congratulations!

I understand your desire of a 5167R so well! It will be a great addition to your impressive Aquanaut collection. Your 5066J looks absolutely wonderful too. I hope you will be able to pick your new watch as soon as possible. Best, Emmanuel

I'd like to introduce my Aquanaut collection. Because I have thin wrists, I don't own any large sizes beyond the 5168. And now, unfortunately, I also want a 5167R.

My wrists are thin, so I don’t own any of the larger sizes from 5168 onwards. I have two pairs each of 5065 and 5066, and then 5164, 5165, and 5167. I’m wearing my 5066j today. 5066 J&A 5065 A&1J The 5065 and 5165 are the perfect size for my wrist

I can understand why of course!

Exploring in depth the Advanced Research collection has been very interesting for me and a great pleasure: www.watchprosite.com But I personally don’t like open dials, so this one isn’t for me. The 5167R sings to me much more. But it’s a matter of

I love the 5167R, and it is one of the options I'm considering for my next acquisition

I love the 5167 for many reasons, and I've actually owned the 5167A twice in the past. It was my first Patek, so it has a special place in my heart. The R version was never in my radar, but every time I've tried it on, I realized how beautiful it is, and

A rose gold Aquanaut

In his post yesterday , time4fun showed two Aquanauts and a Nautilus and asked us which was our favorite . Immediately, Bill 's superb photos of his ref. 5167R-001 came to mind (see below), so I replied it was my favorite , even though it wasn't among the

The 5167R-001: same time and date only

as the Nautilus, but with the case of the Aquanaut and the warm color scheme of rose gold and brown dial… I love it on Bill’s wrist!

I think I have a steel bezel problem

Okay, actually two steel bezel problems. Problem 1: does the Aquanaut count as a proper member of my Steel Bezel Watch Club, or is it a merely honorary member? Problem 2: what's the next steel bezel watch to consider for Steel Bezel Watch Club membership?
