The Perpetual Calendar Prototype to which I dedicated a thread yesterday made me want to learn more about the “ Louis Brandt ” Perpetual Calendars . Louis Brandt (1825-1879) was the founder in 1848 of what became Omega in 1894 under the direction of his s

Panerai Mare Nostrum Titanium PAM 603.

An incredible watch, big, very big ( 53 mm ) but light thanks to the titanium case. The dial is another great asset of this watch. Now, I would say the same thing than for the other Giant, the Big Egiziano... Make it in 47 mm case, and I am in!!! Best, Ni

Oh I love that plain bezel!

As much as I enjoyed the Mare Nostrum, I have to say: the bezel numerals are a bit odd. Though I suppose keeping the bezel plain is a bit odd, too. I suppose the whole watch is odd!

I only saw a few, very few of them... 3 or 4, including my ex one. Credit unknown, but I will happily credit on request. I find it uber fascinating. Best, Nicolas

Hello dear Nicolas! Agree with your comments about 008!

I found mine in 2017 with its original blue shark straps but regrettably sans box or papers. Anyway this doesn’t deters my enjoying this beautiful watch on my wrist! Cheers! Abel

Panerai PAM 8 Mare Nostrum.

One of the best looking from the Vendome years in my opinion. Credit Antiquorum: Credit: Jatuka: Credit: Sothebys. Super sensual. It is THE reference which made me pay some interest to this Brand, in the very late 90's... Nostalgia. Nicolas

Panerai Mare Nostrum 1943.

The vintage one. Super big, as it is over 50 mm, but what a watch! Powerful, full of character, superb! Best, Nicolas
