My initial post concerning my SLGW005

dates back to last November: www.watchprosite.com And I've posted about it a few other times, like here: www.watchprosite.com Same wonderful movement as your SLGW007, but 45GS case and aesthetic. Your moonlit birch dial seems to be particu

Huge congratulations, dear Abel!

I was planning on doing a post on this wonderful watch someday. The dial seems to be amazing and the hand wound movement, which I know from my SLGW005, is pure joy. I’m very glad for you and wish you a lot of happiness with this timepiece. Huge congratula

Yes, Jay, it's a daily ritual I particularly enjoy, especially when the movement offers a great tactile and/or visual pleasure.

This LF doesn't need winding (unfortunately), but the tactile sensation and visual spectacle of winding it are very enjoyable. The best tactile sensation I know is that of the Cornes de Vache caliber 1142. The SLGW005 is also very pleasant, although diffe

I have very few complications.

I hardly ever use the chronograph on my Vacheron CdV and only for pure pleasure. The back side power reserve on my LUC Quattro Spirit and on my Grand Seiko SLGW005 are very useful. I’m happy to have the date when I wear my Alpine Eagle, but I wear it rare

Admirable case design

The 45GS case design , with its finely brushed shouldered lugs , sloping case flanks and subtle “ rounded ” angularity , is one of my favorite . Have a great Sunday you all! Best, Emmanuel Grand Seiko Heritage Collection SLGW005

Thank you so much, Art, for hosting this exciting edition of Wrsit Scan!

Your Sea Lion is wonderful: I don't think I had ever seen it and I like the design very much. Not to mention its strong sentimental value, of course. Only one Japanese watch in my collection, but one I love: the SLGW005. So, here it is in a series of sett

I absolutely love the dial pattern!

My favorite GS are probably: the SLGW005 and the “Imperial V.F.A.” ref. 4580-7020 (same 45GS case) but also the First GS ref. J14070 and the Kintaro Hattori 160th Anniversary ref. SBGZ005 (same First GS case) Best, Emmanuel

I completely understand your dilemma and your preference for a black dial.

The opaline, almost satin-finished dial, can seem a bit bland, especially as opposed to a black dial. But I find this color and texture very faithful to the traditional Japanese aesthetic. I hope at least one of your two wishes will end up being fulfilled
