Last week, I went to Milan and Geneva (where the auction was held) in search of RO5402. I brought my 16202 with me to compare it to the real thing.

The original Jumbo and the latest 16202 Extra-Thin look almost identical, but I found that the 5402, with its flat case back, is actually thinner. This photo was taken at a store in Milan. I came across a specimen in excellent condition right from the sta

Still what it is...

Have been adoring the royal oak jumbo since the early days I look into watches. Such an exceptional and avant-garde outlook while still keeping its class and elegance in a very natural way. (Other integrated bracelet stuff could looked a bit forced and ol

My first visit at the AP boutique Geneva

Yesterday was a great experience. Kindly staff and wonderful timepieces! I really liked these two pieces. As I have a small wrist (6.5 inches), the 16202ST (jumbo) is perfect for me. Love it. As I really love diver watches, I was very attracted by the 157

Happy 17th of May

I acquired the 16202ST back in February however I have been way to preoccupied with work and everything else to write about my visit to the boutique. So I brought the jumbo out to celebrate 17th of May, which is the last Constitution Day of us being two i

Thanks so much!

Really enjoying the short time wearing this on the wrist. Beyond the thin Jumbo case, loving the Red Dial, the BMG, and especially the lightness of the piece. The weight coming from the Titanium / BMG - is extraordinary and I get a sense that this combina

NWA - received the call from the AP House yesterday

…and today I am over the moon. A dream comes true and I am so happy to add this icon to my collection. AP is since long my favorite brand and with quite some Apps in my collections. In 2007 I have to decide myself between the 15300 and 15202 and selected

IMO, the 16202st is the best modern Jumbo AP has made.

I like the quickset date, and the dial shade is indeed different than a 15202. I know PuristS talk about case construction, and the previous movement. If I need those things, I would dig back to older models. But for modern production, 16202st for me. Con

Back to Singapore #2

2 AP ROs marked special occasions for me - the 16202ST and 15202IP - different context, both serendipitous and all happy. Both are very different watch in terms of materials, dial colors and certainly the movements. The old JLC Cal 2121 , while quirky, wa

They definitely lost their adhesion a few years

ago already, but my latest experience with them made me so stupefying that I really turned from denial to contempt. Please forgive me my harsh words. I am not talking about their watches(except prices maybe), I am talking about their politics and their un
