Here's my 325i

I bought it new in 2001 and still drive it frequently. Other than basic wear and tear, it has not had a single mechanical problem in 24 years. In 2001, I was torn between the 325i and 330i, and drove both. The 330i was more powerful, of course. But I went

Best looking BMW coupe of all time. Still looks good. Truly ageless.

(Even better with the competition wheels - Style 163.) My first BMW was an E46 coupe (2001 330i) and you're right -- the dash layout is terrific. A wonderful driver's car. Low mileage E46 M3 manual transmission prices are very high. A 13,000 mile excellen

Maserati Shamal or Ghibli?

There are two cars which made my heart beat faster in my 30's... The Shamal and the Ghibli. With a preference for the Shamal. The Shamal was issued in the early 90's, while the Ghibli came two or three years after. The aesthetics are very close, with a ta

What a fantastic review not to mention all these artistic photos

This is definitely not out of place in a Top Gear publication. I have a soft spot for BMW 3 series station wagons. My first BMW was a 2000 323i in burgundy. I loved that car. I still think it is one of the best looking 3 series ever. It had around 185 hp,

As for disc brakes, I had the original ones, small, 296 mm. I know the bigger ones, which are OEM, too, in 320 mm. I have the 330 mm, on bowl. Lighter, too, even lighter than the small ones.

I can tell you it is a huge difference, the 330 mm ones, compare to the small ones. As I I 50 more HP, it was mandatory. The calipers are from AP Racing, and hyper efficient. I tried them on another car, it is rally impressive. As for the suspensions, I a

Yes two !

In 2005 we had the R53 phase 2 Cooper 1.6 petrol. From 2007 till 2011 the R56 Cooper Diesel 1.6 And now after 16 years again a Mini. Actually the Clubman is a much bigger car as it literally sits on a BMW platform. About the weight, apparently it's 1500+

Ahh finally !

Mini Clubman diesel !!! 2 litre 150 hp / 330 Nm. Plenty powerful enough and the Clubman is the best steering Mini of the range with a lot of comfort on top of it. I think I will like this one for the long distance hauls, engine and gearbox are basically t

Ferrari 330 P4... kind of ...

Spotted this one in France today. I am not an 'art' guy, actually I'm more like a Neanderthaler when it comes to fine arts etc. Off course when it's car related things tend to change and I become an expert. So the visual reflective creativisual flings in

Alpine A 110 Legende : 4th stage of improvements.

The third stage was dedicated to power, torque, mainly. Now I have to focus on the brakes, as the car is too powerful for the small discs I have. A real pain on tracks. The original discs on my car are 296 mm big. For a 252 HP and a 1128 kilos car, it was

850i AC Schnitzer

My cousin owned a 850i manual during the late 90ies, I still remember I was gobsmacked by the power it delivered. The 300 hp engine had been tweaked to around 330 and it easily reached 300 kph on the clock. One evening I was doing 170 kph with the Bimota,
