Welcome back and what a way to return.

Many thanks for posting this. That warm dial with the brown strap is such a graceful combination, and the Calatrava remains one of those watches that never needs to shout. Lovely to see you back among friends. Bill

Gorgeous.......

Without a doubt my favourite of the 5196 range. Love the dial configuration and of of course the exclusive diamond at the 6 o'clock position. The strap matches the watch nicely. When I had the facility to purchase one, I passed on it for one with an autom

Overview of the Patek Philippe Naviquartz

Presented to the public at Baselworld in 1970 , the Patek Philippe “ Naviquartz ” was produced from 1969 (or late 1968) until the late 1980s . Designed as a backup navigational and timekeeping system for ships , it was originally a true marine chronometer

My new Breguet (this time for real). A month ago they sent me one with dents, which I posted here. Fortunately, the authorized dealer didn't have any problem with it and ordered a brand new one from Breguet, which arrived yesterday.

I'd wanted a dress watch for years and the other options were the PP Calatrava or the VC Traditionelle, but the Breguet's dial captivated me. On the other hand, I was very lucky because the Breguet went up in price 48 hours ago from €27,000 to €28,900. Be

Of all the references the 5970 series had the most “commissions”

The ref 5004 closely follows then the 5070. Some are genuinely unique dials but some where made in a very small series. However, to put all this into perspective I predict that only 50-100 pieces were made. Consider approximately 3000 pieces were made, th

In the Antiquorum auction held today in Hong Kong,

the Patek Philippe 5089G with the enamel Rousseau Lion was sold at HK$2,400,000 (excluding buyer's commission). It's a rare one out of 6 pieces made. Congratulations to the winning bidder. My humble Swatch watch next to the image.

I like your enthusiasm, Count!

I personally feel more attracted to the 5078, but I understand the appeal of this new 7047G. And because of the absence of a date window, it is indeed a wonderful variant of the 6007 design. Best, Emmanuel

Was thinking about buying this for my Calatrava, but my local dealer has an OEM sailcloth strap in an off-catalogue color available and I'm tempted. (Used AI to superimpose)

The best repeater since 5078: it is a triumph.

Best 6007 design, too at the same time. Never liked the 6007 A, the 6007 G a lot, but this one is the perfect design. This repeater demonstrates great life style, celebrates lightness and beauty of life. A dream piece on par with a 5078 R.
