The 2025 Rare Handcrafts Collection: Ref. 5177G-051 "Vineyards and Châteaux - Bordeaux".

Patek Philippe has unveiled an extraordinary addition to their Rare Handcrafts collection for 2025, and it's a true celebration of both horological artistry and French terroir. The ref. 5177G-051 pays homage to Bordeaux's legendary wine estates, capturing

5139G black dial

Can’t see many reviews or photo on this piece. Found it in quite good condition and produced in 2021 with reasonable deal. Traded it with my Royal Oak dual time blue dial after struggled for a while. Still getting used to such vintage style. Wear smaller

That limited iteration is a real beauty my friend! Cheers from a very 'ordinary' sibling, still one of my everyday Pateks after many years! :-)

5167 vs. 5177...funny enough they are only one digit away from each other!

Spectacular shots of this 5075 --- and sincerely glad to see it (along with its two siblings from the same series!) fared so well at the recent Sotheby's HK auction!

Ref. 5075 is one of the first modern Rare Handcraft references, and its historical value is hard to overestimate. Also worth noting that, thanks to Patek's determination and their leadership in this unique field, the progress made by Rare Handcrafts over

Hi Mike, it might be an interesting topic of study, but alas, the "numerology" just doesn't seem to be regulated in a predictable/consistent way... I'd safely call that a "general rule" since many limit examples are quickly coming to mind.

For instance, this year we announced the new Ref. 5189G, which going by the info I was given, appears to have the same case as the earlier Ref. 5177, with the only exception of the addition of a solid case back. There are then (numerous) other examples wh

Many thanks Dauster -- the 5189 will follow the long tradition of Patek Rare Handcraft models, both in- and out-of-catalog, which have beeen powered by the *automatic* Caliber 240.

Created in 1977, Caliber 240 is arguably one of the most iconic horological movements ever produced. Along with its variations, it is currently housed in as many as 25 Patek references. It's been the soul of most Rare Handcraft models we have seen in mode

Great point, the historical relevance of the Clous de Paris/hobnail bezel is indeed hard to overestimate within the Calatrava lineup! This specific Rare Handcraft will be part of the new reference 5189G.

As I commented in response to an earlier thread, instances of a hobnail bezel on Calatrava references go as far back as year 1934 (!), with Ref. 96 D. This was nearly ninety years ago, or only two after a certain visionary Genevan family, now at its fourt

Many thanks Volker for sharing this gorgeous '5177G teaser' that appeared on Patek's site today! :-)

I already spoke with Patek and, as usual, I will have the honor of making the official announcement of the AMAZING 2023 Collection very soon -- that will also coincide with my 3rd anniversary of being the Moderator for this forum, so I guess we'll make it

The two references are in a sense related, and in a very significant way -- this is an excellent point! Hobnail bezels are firmly rooted in the history and tradition of the Calatrava line, which is a big reason why I love them on my Rare Handcrafts...

Instances of a hobnail bezel on Calatrava references go as far back as year 1934 (!), with Ref. 96 D....this was only a couple years after a certain visionary Genevan family, now at its fourth generation, assumed the leadership of the Brand! Arguably, hob
