Favre Leuba Bathy 50.

One of the very first mechanical depth gauge in the history ( the first being the Nivada Grenchen Depthomatic ). And a superb looking one. Here is a photo I could take some 12 years ago: Best, Nicolas

Nivada Gretchen Depthomatic

I have only managed to own two and the rest are borrowed photos from the internet. There are two kinds of dials design, one with 12,3,6,9 and another full numerals telephone dial (black and silver versions)

Found Another Nivada Grenchen Depthomatic

This looks like an earler version of the Nivada Grenchen Depthomatic (vs the telephone dial version). This measures about 39mm in diameter.

An interesting watch: Nivada Grenchen Depthomatic.

The first, as far as I know, diving watch with a mechanical depth gauge, made in 1964. The more famous other one was the Favre Leuba Bathy 50, made in 1966. The Favre Leuba Bathy 50: How thrilling are these vintage watches. Best, Nicolas

Blancpain X Fathoms: The epitome of the Fifty Fathoms.

An old picture of a Favre Leuba Bathy Fifty.

A watch I could see some ten years ago, in Paris. A legend, an historical watch, as this is the second wrist watch to house a mechanical depth meter, the first being Nivada Grenchen and the Depthomatic. ( 1964 for the Nivada, 1966 for the Favre Leuba ). H

An UFO in the vintage diving watch universe: Nivada Grenchen Depthomatic.

There were two " Depthomatic " from Nivada Grenchen, one from 1964, and the second generation, from 1966. Here is the second generation. This watch, water resistant to 200 meters, is a mechanical depth gauge, and it seems that the first generation from 19
