Hands-On With The Recent Urwerk Releases

Last night I had a chance to get hands-on with some of the new Urwerk releases, including the new UR-10. I think this watch is quite cool, although I don't expect that it will appeal to everyone. On one hand, If you are an avid wearer of Urwerk watches wi

Unpopular, but worth disputing

Urwerk's pricing is outlandish, but it's a bit like picking on Patek Philippe based on the annual and perpetual calendar complications being democratized. The difference is the knock offs are not offering a product that advances the older idea that they a

This will be an unpopular view but....

I had always been a Urwerk fan and set my eyes on the UR-100 series. However, in the few year, there have been a plethora of Chinese knock off brands with satellite complication/wondering hours complication for a mere fraction of the price. I would say th

Urwerk UR-230 + Spacetime Blade

A little diversion this evening to see some watches. The UR-230, a big brother in ways of my UR-105, with its mini convertible top. It’s interesting that the feel and action of this on the 230 is more solid than that of the 105. Kind of like closing a doo

The 2021 edition of the Geneva Watch Days was a welcome opportunity for the watchmaking community to meet again with great pleasure. Beyond the joy of the reunion, it gave to the brands the opportunity to present their latest novelties as well as the watc

Of course UR100 is relatively more affordable

When compared with their pricier offerings, the UR100 surely could be called as the URWERK entry level piece; though at $60K it still burns a hole through the wallet. While their hallmark style of Satellite wandering hours display and the retrograde point

1 of the last 3 releases was satellite. The satellite is their core watch and so we are always going to see iterations on this.

Re the most recent UR-100 T-Rex this is exactly in line with previous releases, we know the new reference will go through several iterations that are purely cosmetic and we have seen this progression over the years. The 100 was a departure insofar as the

The Future Vision

I had written a post at the weekend, when I took these pictures, but for some reason the post never showed up and I didn’t have a draft. I was, am, too lazy to rewrite it. However the gist of that original post was regarding the vision of Urwerk and wheth

The fireworks of wristshots of the Geneva Watch Days

I'm back after 4 days spent in Geneva in the context of the Geneva Watch Days. This event was organized to give an opportunity to the brands to physically present novelties to the press (and the public during the last day) able to travel to Geneva. Jean-C
