It’s way slimmer due to the micro rotor. It’s quite handsome. Due to the doom glas the dials looks a bit smaller. Maybe even smaller or similar to a dial in a 44mm case. Here a pictures of a 572. Same case and movement

The Panerai purist you are referring to should ideally get a vintage but I do agree though and hear you.. I am a big fan of the Panerai Hommage as u you know. Still I really like the 995. is has everything I like about a Panerai. I know some other Paneris

The 000 is the paneristi Club watch which I currrently have

44mm, titanium case, brown dial, black hands, sausage dial, Saphire Glas and Saphire case back... i changed it for my 572. Maybe u like it

Just don’t give up after a month you will have the strength on your wrist and forearms a 572 wear pretty comfortable with its 45mm thin case . Still nice DNA on the dial. Except the automatic text is annoying.
