Today I went to see an old friend and Rolex authorized dealer. The purpose of my visit was to ask for a Pepsi on Oyster for my son-in-law.

I’ll abstain to reproduce the conversation on speculation. After all, in three weeks the cat will be out the bag. What he did say was that the Pepsi on Jubilee is about the most sought after piece at the moment. I’d assume at his store. Anyhow, here goes

My latest acquisition. Explorer II.

V series (2009), this is one of the last batch of ref 16570 before discontinued in 2010 and replaced by the new, 42mm "maxi case". It is considered quite rare, having new caliber 3186 with parachrom hairspring. The endlinks also solid, makes the watch fee

20 years old yacht master bought for $5500

Reflection of the tree above at Mauna Kea

beach. The Explorer is a wonderful watch for this venue. It can do it all. No polished bracelet which is perfect. Hope all are well. For those on the east coast I hope the bad weather is over and you are warm and well. 🙏🏻
