Just because ... I really like it for its design, its rarity, its wearability. (A number of pics incl. macro shots).

The Heuer Autavia Mareographe, ref. 2446C SF from the early 1970ies. There are obviously "Orvis" branded and "A&F" branded versions around but it seems that the "Heuer" branded are by far the rarest. I really like this iteration of the Autavia. Cheers, HS

Vintage Heuer Skipper.

Most probably my favorite vintage Heuer Carrera, along with the Mareographe 2447. But the chances to find or fund one are close to zero... Dreams are good, and made for this. Best, Nicolas

A number of macro-shots of my Heuer Autavia "Mareographe" ref. 2446 SF

powered by a Valjoux 721. It has an interesting serial number, whereby the 6 digit number consists of five "1" and one "2". Cheers, HSTE

What do you think? The original, Autavia cased Mareographe …

… or the Carrera cased Seafarer? Cheers, HSTE

A dream: Heuer Mareographe 2447.

Most probably my favorite Heuer. But finding and funding it is quite problematic. Credit: Phillips. I fear it will remain a dream... Best, Nicolas

Heuer Mareographe, Ref 2447.

There are three or four watches I would love to own, in the vintage Heuer universe. The Heuer Mareographe, Ref 2447, is one of them, and better, it is a grail for me. Credit picture: Phillips ( I think ). Here we have a chronograph which gives you the tid

Now, after my yesterday's group shot of vintage Carreras: don't get me wrong, Autavias are cool as well.....

..... sporty, many variations, some "grails" (like the Mareographe or the GMT 1st execution). Cheers, HSTE
