Seiko Recraft SRPC15 - long time, no wear ⏱️🛸🇯🇵

I guess by now we can conclude that Recraft, like Brightz, Izul, Galante and some others has been consigned to Seiko’s dustbin of history. At the same time their experimentation has led to many a rare exciting piece. The SRPC15 has a disco volante type lu

I’ve had a bunch of Brightz

I’ll have to have a deep dive into the cabinets and see if any are still here Sadly, a cursory scan of boxes and drawers shows no Brightz. Cazalea

Reset

When I don't want to grab any of the usual suspects from the watchbox I often end up choosing my trusted Seiko Brightz, there's something honest about it that makes me feel grounded in reality.

Cazalea had a few of these titanium Seiko Brightz including one . . .

. . . I wanted, manual wind with power reserve. By the time I asked if he'd be willing to part with his, it was already gone. So I got this GS instead . . . . . . fifteen years later. 🙂

Brightz is a sub-brand of Seiko I tried to collect, but they went off the rails after a couple years (and plunged into a ravine)

Titanium cushion shaped case, clean clear dials, various compliations, bracelet or strap, what’s not to like about that? Even a Chrono and they weren’t all black dials. There was a brown dial version I liked Open backs on some, but not much to see, really

The joy of simple watches

Whenever I'm not sure what to wear I often reach out for my seiko brightz or for my neo vintage railmaster. Especially when I wonder if I should add an explorer to the collection as my first rolex, the omega is generally the perfect cure!

It's from the Brightz Titanium series

The case is an interesting mix of square and round lines, polished and brushed finishing. Cazalea shared pics from his collection here: www.watchprosite.com
