Enjoying the 33mm of the Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000 to the max ⚖️🇯🇵

The watch is a wonderful demonstration that case diameter does not necessarily directly translate on how the watch looks and feels on the wrist. Like some other watches it is stuck on a strap it was on prior to the move but it still kind of works for earl

Monday - with the Seiko SCVL002 ⏱️⚖️🇯🇵

Starting the week with one of the smallest, thinnest and lightest watches I have - the 33mm handwound goodness of the SCVL002 aka 6810-8000. From the brief period in the early 1990s, when the 68xx caliber got relaunched and where it could still be encased

Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000 or the large 33mm watch ⚖️🇯🇵

While some of my Seiko’s stretch to 51mm (like the Izul: www.watchprosite.com ) , I often like them at the other end of the size spectrum. While the SCVL002 is not my smallest Seiko, it is amongst the more elegant / classically sized ones at 33mm and unde

Just googled a picture of its more minimalist brother

reminds me of the difference between first and second generation Saxonia thins, with the exception that your scvl002 has Roman numerals. Between the 001 and the one you posted I must say that this one you posted is the more special imo.

Another one not worn in a while ⚖️🇯🇵

The Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000 is one of my favorite stealthy Seikos. Released in the early 1990s in small quantities as a JDM only model it brought back Seiko’s thinnest mechanical movement- the 6810, at 1,98mm in an elegant dress piece (OK, put it on a

Great theme, Abel!

I could not agree more with your statement that for a majority of history the 30-36mm range was considered perfectly adequate to the human wrist. For me the 33-38 range still wears best, to be honest. In the end it’s more about sound design and good propo

A theme I like...

A lot! So here are two from my collection that would qualify in terms of overall thinness (under 6mm both)... SCVL002: Heritage Chronometrie Ultra Slim: And one which is thicker as a watch (curved front and back) but has the thinnest movement in my collec

The WS for the 20th of November - ‘Incognito’ - is live

I do apologize for starting this one late but the day was super hectic. Irrespective, here it is. Any watch that flies below the radar, that you use when you do not want the watch to be recognized. EDIT - now I have a moment to add on the post 😊 So here’s

WS for the 30th of August is live! Opposites attract...

As announced the other day the topic this week is opposites attract. What I would like to see are uncommon combinations featuring your watches - whether it’s dress pieces on a beach, high complications in tool settings, a G-Shock in black tie or unconvent

Nothing that is likely to appreciate massively...

But in the interests of the Olympic Ideal, here may Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000. Made in early 1990s in tiny numbers (before the re-launch of mechanical GS), with Seiko‘s thinnest hand wound movement. I found mine relatively quickly but have not seen anot
