Enjoying the 33mm of the Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000 to the max ⚖️🇯🇵

The watch is a wonderful demonstration that case diameter does not necessarily directly translate on how the watch looks and feels on the wrist. Like some other watches it is stuck on a strap it was on prior to the move but it still kind of works for earl

Monday - with the Seiko SCVL002 ⏱️⚖️🇯🇵

Starting the week with one of the smallest, thinnest and lightest watches I have - the 33mm handwound goodness of the SCVL002 aka 6810-8000. From the brief period in the early 1990s, when the 68xx caliber got relaunched and where it could still be encased

Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000 or the large 33mm watch ⚖️🇯🇵

While some of my Seiko’s stretch to 51mm (like the Izul: www.watchprosite.com ) , I often like them at the other end of the size spectrum. While the SCVL002 is not my smallest Seiko, it is amongst the more elegant / classically sized ones at 33mm and unde

Another one not worn in a while ⚖️🇯🇵

The Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000 is one of my favorite stealthy Seikos. Released in the early 1990s in small quantities as a JDM only model it brought back Seiko’s thinnest mechanical movement- the 6810, at 1,98mm in an elegant dress piece (OK, put it on a

Didn’t know it was that thin 😊👍🏻

What movement? My thinnest Seiko is the 6810-8000 at just under 6mm ⚖️

Any Seikos on wrists this Seiko Saturday?

Here‘s my Seiko shot of the day - the Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000, which I haven‘t worn in a while. Small, ultra slim, elegant, simple. Anyone else wearing one today? Have a great weekend!

Let’s see...

Not an easy question but if I take it that you exclude Grand Seiko and Credor from the way you phrased your question, then it would have to be this: The SCVL002 aka 6810-8000. A hand wound, ultra thin watch from 1992, with Seiko’s thinnest mechanical move

The Seiko SCVL002 on the road...

With its unassuming, minimalist looks and ultra slim profile, the 6810-8000 makes for a relaxed, pleasant travel watch. The low weight will also make you forget it’s there unless you need it. Sometimes 33mm really fully suffices Have a nice week!

Introduction to Credor Movements (updated many new photos)

Over the past month I have been introducing the Credor line of timepieces. The first two posts presented the higher-priced Credor men's and ladies' lines of watches, and I showed a few of the Credors that I have owned. In this post I propose to acquaint o

Wow - these are truly spectacular, Ken!

I have the related predecessor movement - the 6810A - in my Seiko 6810-8000 and it’s a nice piece of ultra slim. And like here a rare case of a shaped movement in a round case
