Jaeger-LeCoultre: Use of my photos: My policy

Guys: Please DO NOT USE MY PHOTOS WITH THE COPYRIGHT INFORMATION REMOVED . This is ridiculous. So either: a) Take down these photos OR b) You are welcome to use them but DO NOT REMOVE the copyright strip which is present on all my photos bottom, left corner. Someone explicitly removed them, and I wi

Jaeger-LeCoultre: USA market watches

Importation of watches into the United States, in the 1960s and even today is complicated. The value of the watch must be broken down by the value of the case, the value of the movement and value of the strap. The movements will get a different duty depending on the number of jewels, whether the wat

I have the 1970 USA catalog in full, none iof these fantasy "extra complication" chronographs are in there either, nor should they be. Curiously, it states that the "Shark" only comes with 2 bezels: 60 minute and world time, original retail price $160.00.

Jaeger-LeCoultre: The LeCoultre GMT in the 4ATM article is a FAKE!

Sorry but I have to speak up. This craziness has to stop! It needs to be flagged as such in a forum like this -- otheriwse more people are going to get ripped off. Other than GregB's post, I'm surprised no one has spoken up. All these LeCoultre chronos with "extra" complications like GMT, triple dat

Jaeger-LeCoultre: The JLC book is out

Hello, The book is finally out as of September 23. I'm not sure I would call it a complete documentation of JLC (that would probably require 2000 pages!) but it should be a fairly thorough discussion of most relevant models between 1925 and 1970. It covers about 50-60 watches in great depth and anot
