Vacheron Constantin: Thank you for the

promised photographs. My preference, however, is to have bar markers as opposed to Roman Numerals. I am diligently searching. I find it very rewarding and I believe a purchase is imminent. I have been looking on Chrono 24 for available timepieces.

Patek Philippe: The current

models of most brands do not interest me. They are rather loud and obnoxious. As I stated in my previous post, I am looking for a timepiece which will tell me the time and not one with multiple "complications". This message has been edited by Europalaan on 2009-05-08 12:11:50

Vacheron Constantin: If this is

your watch, it appears to have all the characteristics of, what I consider, perfection. However, I would like to see the movement...... An absolutely gorgeous piece of machinery....... Maybe one day........ This message has been edited by Europalaan on 2009-05-08 12:08:31

Vacheron Constantin: I am very interested

in the Vacheron Constantin, "Ultra Thin". However, I have noticed that there are a lot of options among that particular model, i.e. markers, second hand, face color, gold preference etc. which makes the search more interesting. This, to my liking, is a possible choice. Thank you for your insight.

Rolex: Your response, although appreciated,

Dear PPCollector: told me something I did not want to hear as what I am looking for is a nice quality watch and not the attention it might attract. Although I've heard good things about Rolex, I'm not sure if it has to do the the quality of the watch itself or its general acceptance by the public at

Patek Philippe: ?......

As I am new to horology and am considering the purchase of a nice quality watch, I was wondering if someone could explain to me why a Patek Philippe might be a choice to consider. Thank you.
