Vacheron Constantin: Real

It's quite real, but has a history. The dial has been cleaned up and the hands replaced. The movement is cal 453 with the geneva seal. Very rare. Case looks good. Wear it in good health.

Vacheron Constantin: I should add that..

The one on the left is very original, Dial, hands and crown are as it left the factory. Polished but very nice looking. The one on the right has replacement hands and crown. They would have been the same as the Jubilee.

Vacheron Constantin: Mid fifties era vintage Vacherons

Interesting pair of watches from about the same year. 1955 or thereabouts, both with the movement 453. The one on the left looks to be a "Jubilee" model which had a reference number of 4600. If so, there would be an inscription on the outside of the back that says "Jubilee". The one on the right has

Vacheron Constantin: 25 years of service

There is nothing like the classic 18k gold swiss watch to send you on your way to retirement. This one is signed "A Nestor Suizo En Sus 25 Anos Con Siam 1956".

Patek Philippe: Champleve

Patek and Vacheron vintage watches both have used this process. I'm sure many others have too, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Vacheron Constantin: Redial

Yep, the redial should have been pointed out. And yes, it is an expert buyer/seller, who should know better. The hands, crown and case look pretty good though. Not worth the asking price, but not the most overpriced V&C on the bay for sure. I just saw a dealer who listed a 30mm teardrop lug case

Vacheron Constantin: Is this a true statement?

"Certain LeCoultre watches were manufactured with V&C mvts, always bearing the VXN mark. In some instances, one will find a "LeCoultre-Vacheron & Constantin" case signature in addition (typically on some diamond dial models), but the lack of such signature has nothing to do with mvt manufacture. Vacheron Constantin: SS and gilloche dial version

I have that model in stainless steel, wrong crown though. It has the 454 5C movement. I love the full size 36mm models!
