Very cool, huge congratulations, and as someone that is a tide-sensitive sailor (grounded 3x this summer?), I am very impressed by how thoughtfully this watch was designed/engineered. Anything you can share on what the ownership experience has been like, anything about this watch that wouldn’t be obvious from the pics? This is not a watch that is easy to see in the flesh.

Independents: Continued impressions…

Obviously have been wearing this almost nonstop, so thought I’d share a few additional thoughts. First, the watch can be positioned nicely as a desk clock under your computer monitor even though it doesn’t have the Amadeo system of other bovet’s. It has to do with the unique lug to strap mechanics,

…the name 19thirty even alludes to a time when Bovet was at the end of its pocket watch era. The watch is meant to recall these pocket watches both with the crown placement but also the case shape and the dials/fonts.
