Patek Philippe: My favorite as well

To me the dial more than a little bit intriguing. It evokes the image of an instrument cluster in an exotic sports or race car. I especially love the thinness of the case, which is just slightly thicker than the beautifully thin 5711. And that 21K gold micro rotor in the 240 is simply magnificent.

Cartier: There is much discussion about the choice of movement...

Observations from other forums suggest the 8971 MC movement is actually a Jaeger-LeCoultre 846/1 manual wind caliber and yes, this would be quite small for the case. Patek Philippe: This is a really beautiful reference that combines style elements from the 5396 and 5140

The leaf hands IMO, compliment the brequet numerals very nicely and I'm glad Patek decided to use a consistent font size for the date subdial.
