To me the dial more than a little bit intriguing. It evokes the image of an instrument cluster in an exotic sports or race car. I especially love the thinness of the case, which is just slightly thicker than the beautifully thin 5711. And that 21K gold micro rotor in the 240 is simply magnificent.

Observations from other forums suggest the 8971 MC movement is actually a Jaeger-LeCoultre 846/1 manual wind caliber and yes, this would be quite small for the case.
