Patek Philippe: yes...

...I did. Very different watches to wear, with the 5070 obviously bigger by quite a bit...but the connection through the movement, and the iconic status of each reference in the line up when they were current, was enough to get the pulse racing. Worth seeing each metal in the flesh - the dial/metal

Patek Philippe: Well...

I have looked at all three, and chose the 5078P...they're all quite different....the 5078P is clean, simple design and a pure sound. The enamel dial has a really lovely tone and depth to it which is hard to convey in photos. Looks like a pocket watch design that has been miniaturised for the wrist.

So, some quick views after 48 hrs... Quite a large watch, but not overly so. Definitely notice the weight - even compared to a platinum Datograph. Double Split owners will be right at home!
