Very different watches to wear, with the 5070 obviously bigger by quite a bit...but the connection through the movement, and the iconic status of each reference in the line up when they were current, was enough to get the pulse racing. I have looked at all three, and chose the 5078P...they're all quite different....the 5078P is clean, simple design and a pure sound. The enamel dial has a really lovely tone and depth to it which is hard to convey in photos. Looks like a pocket watch design that has been miniaturised for the wrist.

I love the proportions...classic.

So, some quick views after 48 hrs... Quite a large watch, but not overly so. Definitely notice the weight - even compared to a platinum Datograph. Double Split owners will be right at home! Generally comfortable to wear though. Watching the time change is never dull. At about 5 seconds before changi
