Thanks for your advice, very valid points. To me, the dial of the 5140r is quite beautiful as it changes shade when in natural daylight and then under strong lighting. The 6196p is really only in the mix due to Ben Clymers glowing review.

I wouldn’t wear it that often as it would be more like a special occasion watch. Adjusting the 5140r each time might be a pain but perhaps the 6196p would be better for quick setting, winding and wear…..also draws less unwanted attention?
