Thank you to both of you. I counted all 32 diamonds. What do you mean by colonial cousin?

I bought this recently without boxes or paper. I don't know how to open the case to check the movement. Can you tell if this is authentic based on the pictures? I will see a watchmaker in 10 days to have it open to look inside. Strap is not JLC but buckle should be. Thank you so much.
