I was actually wondering what watch Herge wears after watching the excellent documentary "Tintin et Moi". Then I found this picture. If I was Belgian I'd be proud of Herge's achievements!
Though I am fairly certain it's an Omega Seamaster Calendar (due to the fairly visible omega logo, lug style, and date at six shape) the author dates the photo to 1939. The fat lug seamasters don't make an appearance until the late 1940s. Any Tintinologist-Omegamaniac here to help?
