Blancpain: Timezone

I have the X-71 bracelet version and it's my favortie travel watch, the one that stopped me from continually collecting more and more GMT and dual time zones.

Jaeger-LeCoultre: just the opposite...

In my experience, my surgical colleagues were Apple watch or Seiko types, since they were always removing their watch for handwashing and concerned about loss or damage. Office types (neurology, cardiology, etc.) had more flexibility with their choices.

Jaeger-LeCoultre: case size

Yes, you are correct - the GT case size. Mine is currently at JLC for service but I wear it frequently.

TimeOut: look at a map...

People who live in Coronado wrongly believe they live on an island, which it is not. Probably asleep during geography class...

Blancpain: vindicated!

I knew there was a reason I disliked that watch so much.

Breguet:

I always thought that "tropical" equalled moisture damage or actual rust.

Automotive: in name only

No V-8 and looks only remotely like a real GT40. Trying to be some sort of Mclaren cousin without as much tech.

Jaeger-LeCoultre: six weeks?

Mine was gone for almost six months, just for a simple three letter engraving. Two years later, the enamel fill is falling out. No more overhyped Reverso for me.

Horological Meandering: excellent but glacial

My Blancpain triple calendar took almost seven months to service and my Leman Timezone is estimated at 26 weeks. In contrast, both JLC and Piaget had a 5-6 week turnaround.

TimeOut: bears

"Tame" bears? I would say "used to being near humans" but not tame.
