Even more sorry that it is so common I had to come up with a term for it.

The watch industry seems to be particularly rife with awful practices and services. Any company that wants to sell you a product should be obligated by the market to support said product. Somehow with watches, this is all forgotten. If you want parts returned, you will need to stick to Swatch group

one should expect as much!
