Can't quite tell from the picture... If it's an "A" it would suggest the clasp is a few years older (1976) than the case (1979) which is not unusual. I'm pretty sure that should say, "Stainless" (as in steel) not "Sterling" (as in silver). But I could be wrong - I'm a complete amateur!

Are there any markings in the blades of the clasp? Serial numbers in the 6 million range are 1979-1980... but the dial markers and hands look older. I think you're going to need to get it opened for a close look. Lovely looking datejust!

Looks porcelain?!? Only way to know what reference it is, is to see what is engraved between the lugs. I'd love to add any new references to this catalog if you have the details.

I know how hard this is - I tried to do something similar a while back... I put it all in a searchable database here The product lines go back a long way and get deep quickly! I notice you have some I missed. Would you mind if I reuse your list and add them?
