I was very excited when I found out about the carbon Aquaracer, initially. Then when I found out the case wasn't carbon I was a bit less interested, but then I thought 'okay, the titanium case really keeps the cost down and when it's on the wrist most of what you see will be carbon so fair enough'.
Sounds like you and I are on the same page on a lot of things, nice to hear someone else say older watches are too small for them... there's loads of old TAGs from the 80s I'd love to buy but they are just too damn small.
