A. Lange & Söhne: Can friends please verify if such shameful practice is Lange global policy?

I was treated the same too. It felt disrespectful for both new and loyal customers. Why must customer buy unwanted extra? I felt that it could be the boutique staff trying to boost sales record, but if it was global policy, I feel it is really below the belt.
