Horological Meandering: Here is one the same as yours

Helbros were a US company and Brooks were one of their brand names. Here is a picture of Damien Parer the war photographer's watch in the Australian NSW libraries collection and a picture of him wearing it on Guam. Thanks. Carl.

Horological Meandering: These watches are made by Helvetia

Hello, These watches are made by Helvetia for Helbros, the movement is the Helvetia 82A. I have a white dialled version. Have a look at my site for details about Helvetia pilots watches, the Helbros ones are about half way down the pilots watch page. Thanks. Carl

WristScan: Helvetia big Date

Just for interest, here is an advert for Helvetia's big date watch with the same Helvetia in-house movement. I think this dates from 1932 going by the patents. Also a picture of another example I found on the web. Note that the one in the advert also has an odd seconds dial a bit like yours nitedive

Hi, the shock protection is by Helvetia. The movement is Helvetia 75. The click and shock protection are very distinctive.
