service centers are obsessed with polishing. I've no polish requests ignored by Rolex, Omega, Panerai, Vacheron, I don't want to send in IWC and JLC because of the Panerai and Vacherons. It seems the only way to avoid this service center polish issue is to buy ceramic watches.
I picked this up last year for a bargain and its the capstone watch of my collection, a gold chronograph. It does wear compact. I love every detail about it, the brown details, the matte leather strap, and the closed case back.
wow! i didnt know they made a 37mm case size. usually the germans go bigger. im going for the rose gold anthracite. I know its verboten to say the price here but when I saw the price I was very surprised.
for me, this IWC best represents the period in corporate history when IWC was a watchmaker rather than a business. The IWC mark XII was better than advertised and better than it had to be to compete with other brands in its market segment
In 2012 I sold the yellow gold version of this watch for 12000 dollars to pay for art school for a girl I was seeing. She was a redhead so the relationship lasted less than six months . I miss the gold vacheron chronograph alot, but the redhead I dont miss at all
some questions 1. how did you fit that strap on when the lug holes are so close to the case? 2. what did you do to hide the female grooves in the case? does the strap cover those slots where the male end links fit?
