The Odysseus was never on my list of grail watches, but last year, I was in a boutique kicking tires of something recklessly beyond my budget, and the manager suggested I try on a blue Odysseus in steel. DAMN! It was a perfect fit, and I fell instantly in love. Too bad it was 18-24 month wait. ; ( L

I was ambivalent about the Odysseus -- the Honeygold looked interesting - brown dial! - I was never going to get THAT call. And the photos for the steel version (363.179) were a little humdrum. But at the boutique (for other reasons), the manager brought one out in steel and blue. I tried it on and

What a face! Just gorgeous! One of the things you don't really notice with the Saxonia until it spends some time on your wrist is just how elegantly long the hands are -- they are simply gorgeous and perfect!

I fell into Lange because of the Lange 1 but the 38mm really looked awkwardly small on my wrist. Hence, the Grande Lange 1 at 30mm AND a much larger moonphase...
