I am not sure I agree that these values are the only real values. I am not sure I agree aethetic or finishing can be seperated from quality. What you describe to me sounds like mechanical watches when they used to be an industry in the most utilitarian sense- but I might be contradicting my own argu

but if constancy of purpose was the goal for this watch would it not have soft iron? For myself I can not make a universal standard of quality or puropose based on ETA or Rolex 3xxx movements as wonderful as I know them to be - a sensibility of homogenzied mass production is never what I look for in
