That’s the one to have. Love the black dial MC’s from that period.

Some complain that the dial is too busy. Admittedly, the lume is a bit messy (kind of resembles the Milky Way) but overall I think the GMT is a beautiful watch. I love mine.

But I think I like this one better. Better size and less busy dial. Lume on my GMT looks like the Milky-way.

Not liking the old style single fold clasp though, which seems less comfortable and secure than JLC's version from the same era. So far, that is my only dislike, which I can easily change it necessary.

Definitely distracted my attention away from the FF.

But one article says he gave it away to a shipyard worker. Perhaps he has more than one. Might explain the global shortage. Perhaps he is hoarding them!

I have been searching for a good condition Aqua Lung for a long time. Finally found a nice Grande Date and haven’t taken it off my wrist for 5 days. The rest of my collection is getting jealous.

I think the size is fine. Essentially the same as the current Master Control line. However, replace the alligator with a basic leather strap and it becomes a great weekend watch. Very versatile. I especially like that it has generous lume.

Shame they could not fit this in a 40mm or less case.
