Patek Philippe: Diamonds and Dragons

Many thanks,it is stunning (I think), My daughter who likes Jacobs etc loves it therefore I cannot . It seems a bit over the top from Patek. I prefer a Patek to be slightly more subtle (an academic arguement I fear)

Patek Philippe: Recent Patek photo?

I am sure I saw a Ladies' Patek picture on the forum recently. It was covered in diamonds and had a red dragon (different stones?) on the face. I said to my daughter, who has a small watch collection, that she should buy this one (or not) . When I tried to find the picture it seems to have disappear

Patek Philippe: Brown strap

What a great combination,if someone had suggested a brown strap with that colour of watch I would have said no, it would be wrong, yet it is the exact opposite,it looks great. Congratulations R Ian

Patek Philippe: Thanks

Much appreciated answers. I was not sure whether to go for the Patek 5002 at £250.000 ish but, after your advise will probably go for one of your suggestions. I always find it interesting how other owners think, the submariner was always a possibility but the others have added food for thought,

Patek Philippe: Second Watch

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question but, here goes. I have a 5712 R which I think is stunning, my work involves the danger of marking the watch so I do not wear it when working. I like a "busy" dial (ala 5712), what watch would you recommend around £2000/£3000 as a workhorse? It

I do not wear my watch all the time but, sweat from my wrist must have stained the strap and I have to be honest it caused a very unple

Patek Philippe: 5712

Hi,there is a website that lists all watches and it states 5712 is anti clockwise, perhaps someone else will know the website,it is for watchwinders and was really helpful, unfortunately I did not make it a "favourite" R Ian

Patek Philippe: 5712 R

My first (only!) Patek is a 5712 RG and I love it,sometimes when I check the time i have forgotten I am wearing it and it still surprises me how stunning it is,a little bit like a surprise reflection of yourself in a mirror,it takes a second before you realise it is yourself, the difference with the

Horological Meandering: Pricing

Hi,just a general question for one and all that has intrigued me for some time. If I see an advert for a BMW, a new flat somewhere etc etc,the advert always (or nearly always) has a price. Why do watch adverts never have a price, even if it is a "rack rate " price,I always feel slightly disappointed
