Omega: Overall proportion

I do not know his wrist size, but the smaller dress watches look perfectly in proportion. He is not tall (about 5' 5") and I fear that a large sport watch might look awkward on his wrist. I wish the Omega site showed each watch on an average sized wrist. When I got him the Patek Calatrava (ref. 5119

Omega: 41mm 300M

Can you notice a difference between a 41mm and 42 (300m vs. Planet Ocean)? On the Omega website there is a photo of George Cloony wearing the large Planet Ocean--and to me the watch looks huge. I think my husband has a small wrist; he's not a big guy. Should a sport watch be larger than a dress watc

Omega: Choosing between 2 Seamasters--opinions/advice?

I've gotten very helpful advice on this forum in the past, so came here again for more. I want to get my husband a Seamaster for his birthday and am trying to decide between the Planet Ocean (42mm) and the 300m (36.25mm). I know that larger watches are more in style these days but he has a smaller w

Patek Philippe: Two options--opinions please

Once again, thank you all for your input; you have been very kind. And of course I have more to ask. I have two options: (1) Authorized Dealer will sell me the watch with a 2 year extended warranty. Patek Philippe: Thank you all so much... and question about archive papers

Thank you again for all your help and information. And more questions: Can I request archive papers directly from PP or does the AD do this for me? And by archive papers, do you mean certificate of origin?

Patek Philippe: I'm sure it's genuine

because the dealer is top notch. And it's the watch that I want and it is a discontinued. model. I'm just worried about making such a large purchase if it is something that will not hold its value. On the otherhand, I would not be buying it as an investment per se. I just don't know if I should go f

Patek Philippe: Buying a Calatrava without paperwork?

I am re-posting this question b/c I think I put it in the wrong forum originally. I would like to purchase a pre-owned (discontinued model) Calatrava. The dealer is an authorized Patek agent, very reputable and well-known watch dealer based in NYC. The price is OK (doesn't seem like a bargain compar

Patek Philippe: buying a pre-owned patek calatrava without papers?

If I am buying a pre-owned Calatrava from an authorized agent (well known and reputable NYC company) is it OK to buy a watch if they do not have the Patek paperwork? They will give me their own company-name papers. I don't know if this is a good idea or not. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
