Meanwhile, at Cartier

Went to Cartier for a new strap and to have the running of the watch checked. Got the strap and left the watch. Here are the new Roadsters. OH they are nice. Love the curve on the wrist. Glad to see kt back in the line up. And a few shot of the watches on display. What a day!

Monarch in the wild

Saw this yesterday in person. Seems like the brands are getting much better at having watches in stores at the time of the show.. Was not availble for purchase however. Also got to see the new Royal and Moon Phase. Very nice. The Monarch is a winner.

This ain’t Texas, ain’t no hold em….

Something rather different today. Not a Texas Timex (hence the subject line reference above for those that didn’t connect), just a Timex. Quartz, yes, this has been a soft spot for me of late having sworn off such battery powered technology for many years I’ve found myself knee deep in Swatch of lat

F.P. FRIDAY: what’s on your wrist this fine day?

I’ve been wearing the Resonance for some days now. It’s been a while since last time but I just makes the pleasure much greater. Wish you all a great weekend 🌞 Christian

I've always liked the Nautilus 5711, but last year I got my hands on the launch model, the 3700, and I'm absolutely blown away by its overwhelming presence.

The one on the left is the AJ, a two-tone model, and the one on the right is the A. Although both are made of stainless steel, the 3700 gives the impression of having a denser construction compared to later models. The warranty card states that it was released in 1983, but the dial has the Sigma log

For the love of AP's “Precision” dials

I love Audemars Piguet 's “ Precision ” dial watches. I have highlighted one with teardrop lugs recently and several others in my thread dedicated to Observatory dial watches . Here's another one which will be sold by Christie's in a couple of weeks. I like the two-tone , steel and pink gold case. T

Just a fun little "Project" watch...

While I thought I would resist the temptation to buy more cheap "Project" watches in the future I could not resist this one: A Junghans with a full steel case (most where chrome plated brass at this day and age) with a decent handwound movement, a steel bracelet and a linen textured dial for the pri

A wonderful AP single button chronograph

In two weeks, Christie's will sell this remarkable single-button or ‘monopusher’ chronograph with a platinum ‘ Coussin Tortue ’ (turtle cushion) shaped case . It is one of the first three chronograph wristwatches produced by Audemars Piguet in the 1930s and one of the two with a platinum case (the o
