Nilomis shares his conversion experience with the Omega Railmaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer 38 mm from the 1957 Trilogy, initially overlooking it but ultimately falling for its vintage aesthetic combined with modern reliability. His post highlights the watch's appeal for those who appreciate classic styling without the common pitfalls of true vintage ownership. Nilomis provides detailed observations and personal photos, celebrating Omega's successful blend of heritage and contemporary watchmaking.

Team,

Sometimes the majority is right, not always of course.

This time, Dr. No and other owners of the Railmaster are 100% correct.

The Railmaster from the 1957 Trilogy is a watch that challenges my perception.

I saw it first, during my memorable visit to Omega last January and, from the trio, it was the one that didn't catch my attention.

Saw it last week and, again, it didn't triggered the "I want bit".

Yesterday, my magician sales lady made me to wear it and "voilà", I was converted!

I'm a lover of the vintage styled watches but I don't love the occasional disappointment or pain that the true vintage watches can cause.

I'm too old to search for parts that don't exist anymore, to wait forever for a repair and, worst, to receive bad news about the originality of a watch.

Omega is a brand that, like any large manufacture, makes terrible mistakes (yes!) but this time the C.E.O. Raynald Aeschlimann and team hit the mark.

The Railmaster is everything that one can want, in terms of looks, about a vintage piece modernized with an amazing quality and fine taste.

One the inside, it's powered by the excellent caliber 8806, Master Chronometer certified, Co Axial.

Let's see some pictures that I took on this foggy morning.

Sexy without being over.

Notice the Omega logo etched on the sapphire crystal. Details that shows care.

The buckle of the metal bracelet. Cool. (Of course, it comes with a leather strap that I plan to install soon).

In B&W

Hanging on my hand. Cool. (notice that there are some dirty that I forgot to clean).

Kudos to Omega for this and others from the Trilogy.

My warm thanks to Ms. L. and Ms. D. for another amazing experience.

Cheers,

Nilo

But, where is the Trilogy? It's starting to really annoy me.

I have decided to admire this one from afar, personally. I want a coaxial with 2 barrels . Such elegance! This watch is very refined. I’m it’s own way, it’s hard to put one’s finger on isn’t it?

It is the same issue than for the TT Geophysic. With a manual winding movement, I would have got these 2. Best, and enjoy. Omega did an excellent job on this trilogy. Nicolas
