One Must Go! Blancpain or Patek

Take Your Pick! Circumstances left me with these 2 very fine timepieces and unfortunately, one must go. Both watches are in 95% condition with all boxes and papers (both watches still under warranty). Interested in an outright sale, trade of one or the other for equal or lower value or, would trade my two for your one! The Blancpain 8 Jours is listed in a separate post.

Patek Philippe 5296G-001 – 38mm, white gold, concentric silver dial with blue hands and caliber 324SC automatic movement. I haven’t had a chance to take actual pictures of it yet but will do so for any interested party. The picture here is borrowed from the web (source unknown so I apologize in advance if it someone else’s).  The retail on this watch is $23,800 and I am asking $16,000 or best reasonable offer.

📖 About This Reference

Patek Philippe Calatrava Reference 5296G The reference 5296G represents Patek Philippe's Calatrava series in an 18K white gold construction with silver dial configuration. This 38mm variant positions itself within the brand's dress watch category, distinguished by its white gold case material and bracelet combination rather than traditional leather strap presentation. The 38mm case houses a movement with power reserve functionality, fitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Water resistance extends to 25 meters (82 feet). The silver dial provides contrast against the white gold case construction, while the integrated bracelet maintains material consistency throughout the timepiece. This reference appeals to collectors seeking Patek Philippe's Calatrava series in precious metal with integrated bracelet styling. The 38mm case size addresses contemporary sizing preferences within the dress watch segment. The combination of white gold construction, silver dial, and bracelet presentation distinguishes this reference within the broader Calatrava range, offering an alternative to traditional leather-strap configurations typical of the series.

A perfect trio in steel
Finally got there with my perfect 3 to work wherever I need to go. Just waiting for a black alligator strap with contrast stitching so 5212 can work in the office. During my quest to get this small set my AD came up trumps with the rare “misty blue” for my wife. Our favourite ladies aquanaut. Having

I am sure there a few owners of a 5296 here. Which variants do you have and why did you choose yours over the other three?
I went for this version as I wanted something from the current catalogue (although shortly after I bought it the model was discontinued) that is as close as possible to the original version of the reference 96.

First Patek purchase for a longtime lurker .....
Hello, I am about to buy my first Patek and I was wanting some advice. I am looking for a good Patek to start with - although I probably only want 2 Pateks in total. I was thinking of either a 5196 or 5296 or a 5035 Annual. Is there any season the 37mm 5035 is so cheap compared to other less complic

Does anyone want to participate in some Basel 2020 Patek Calatrava speculation?
Facts 1/ We know from the Autumn 2019 Patek Magazine that new Calatravas are coming. 2/There is the new movement 26-330 3/It is meant to appeal to "younger" buyers Speculation 1/It seems unlikely there will be a steel time-and-date-only model calatrava? 2/New dress watches are typically 39-40mm (eve

Why 5196 stayed but 5296 gone?
Maybe some members already knew or explained before but I missed it and a quick search shows no concrete answer. If I look at WT references for example, it goes from 51xx (5110->5130) to 5230 and 5131 to 5231. Then why did the 5296 went away but the 5196s stayed, like reversing trend? Was it because
