Ref. 5054 was launched in 1999 and is powered by Patek Philippe’s Calibre 240 PS IRM CLU self-winding movement, same movement used in the popular Ref. 5712/1A . Other moonphase watches deviate from an astronomical reality by one full-day every 2 ½ year, however, Patek Philippe’s moon phase watches including 5054 deviates by a full-day only after the elapse of 122 years and 45 days. The slim Calibre 240 movement has a 22K micro-rotor, Geveva wave decoration, Gyromax balance and bears the Hallmark of Geneva Seal. This movement is considered by many as one of the most beautiful automatic movements in the watch industry. My watch is in a mint condition with only minor hairline scratches on the case, no dent nor dint. It comes with an extract from Patek Philippe’s Archieves evidencing it was sold by Patek Philippe in December, 1999 and the watch was last by Patek Philippe service centre in Dec. 2010.
