I would go with the Datograph
Though I have to admit, in general I think an annual calendar is more useful than a chronograph.
The Datograph, especially in rose gold with a black dial, have such an amazing look. And the 1815 Calendar doesn't grab me. It sacrifices the big date function that is iconic, and is especially useful in a watch with an annual or perpetual calendar complication.

If finally capable, I would buy both. Their styles are quite different and I am very sure you will enjoy both very much.
If really have to pick one, I will choose the datograph. It is just the beauty of the beauty. Having said, always get one you like most.

I too was swayed in the early days on what's iconic. So I ended up buying the Lange 1 and Dato, all iconic pieces. But I felt I missed out on pieces that I really liked too.
I had the original dato.
i did nit like the top heaviness of it and traded for a grand Lange 1 moonphase. I love the watch. Go with what your hear likes.
