2021s drank beautifully.
2021 was a good year for Napa. All the wines I sampled from the 2021 vintage seem to be very promising. I am not certified nor considered extremely knowledgeable - in my wine tasting group - I'm probably in the bottom 25% and I'm the only non-restaurant professional in said tasting group. 2022 had a big heat wave in Napa right at harvest time, so it's going to vary a lot depending on when the grapes were harvested, been sampling some of the 2022s and so far everything I've sampled has been quite good.
I got out of my ZW striking time a long long time ago. It was very big and had a tight grip. And recently I described a Californian wine as very big with a tight grip (from the tannins, grippy tannins). So seeing your ZW Striking time makes me think of that wine!
Time for Spring allocations…….wearing the Zeit at delivery time.
