As mentioned, their Terms and Conditions have stated that they have absolute full right to determine the final winner, do you think that they believe contract?
As this auction house does not honor to their words, and senior executive (Managing Director) practice to solve the mistakes they made is to shift the liabilities on their customers, I don't think this auction house Antiquorum will stay long in business for this kind of bad practice and no more credit in collector's minds. My sharing is just to alter collectors to stay away from them to minimize any potential and unforeseen danger and risk.

I awoke this morning to an email from CR asking where I posted. It was in the Lange Forum.

I believe your position is strengthened vis a vis Antiquorum: they are presented with an expensive, MODERN watch, with no box or papers; and they did nothing to verify ownership.
