Functianally: yes. Aesthetically: also yes but a bit different ...
... than the other RL as the bezel appears to be thinner, more delicate, almost like a ring.
It is for sure a "Beobachtungsuhr"="Observation watch" as you do not just look at it to know what time it is.
The observation character is also a strong criterion that makes this a worthy RL, or ?
And yet another enlightment while I am typing: a regulator was used also as a "Referenzuhr" ...

Due to the dial shape, an enamel dial would be very complicated.
The segment over the Tourbillon has a width of 1 or 2 mm... Fr.Xavier
I suspected this was the reason for a silver dial.
Also, the moving back and forth of the sliding panel could lead to cracks developing over the lifetime of the watch, I imagine (more quickly than a stationary enamel dial). Regardless, this is a very exciting development. Lange continues to impress me at ...

I think that the Richard Lange watches share in common an objective and not a style. The objective is: chronometry. Look at the 4 RL watches, they all have the same purpose: to be as accurate as possible. That's for me the key point and it is the reason w...
