Hi guys, Just a quick question ... For the time-only Zeitwerk model, does the second hand supposed to go to 12 o’ clock position when power reserve goes to zero (AB)? Thanks 🙏

But I’m really not sure what the value of it is. It doesn’t seem to help with setting the time more accurately, unlike the zero reset feature.

Rather than hack the Tourbillon the stop works stopped the seconds at zero, any wind of the chain onto the Fusee restarts the Tourbillon instantly and thereby allows accurate setting of the seconds. 👍

It is a great read. 👏👏👍 Peter still has plenty of the purchasable copies as well, I urge anyone with an interest in the rebirth of Lange to get a copy.

…stop on zero. And Grand Lange 1 too I think. This is combined with immediate start after the first turn of winding - like in the RL. The Zeitwerk Minute Repeater mostly stops on zero, too. But here I assume it to happen because of the power the minute ju... 

I was somehow under the impression that it is supposed to go to zero for ZW as well, so when it didn’t I panicked a bit! All good now! 😉

Most of the time it will be at zero somehow. That’s what I noticed on mine

I remember another member also reported this a few years ago. Mine doesn't reset (I have tested it only once). Sent a message to ALS asking about this. Not a big deal, just curious ...

that it doesn't have a zero reset function. I've been monitoring it over the past few days, and in some cases the second hand lands exactly on 12, sometimes it is just a few seconds off and sometimes it is quite a bit off (~ 10 s). In any case, it doesn't... 

My 1815 Up/Down seconds will always stop on "12" when the power reserve runs out. When it comes to the Zeitwerk, it is my understanding that the movement DOES stop when power runs down to a level where jumping the minutes or hours would risk damage, howev...
