I totally understand! The Lange stock straps are very intimidating as they are stiff and tight at the lug without quick release. It took me a while to fins the courage to remove mine :-))))

A polarizing filter would help, but I'm mostly shooting off-the-cuff with my phone, not a digital SLR. ...
